Understanding EcoVadis Requests
Many suppliers are being asked to complete EcoVadis assessments, often after already reporting to CDP or setting science based targets through SBTi. This overlap can feel confusing at first.
EcoVadis looks at the structure behind your sustainability work. While CDP focuses on emissions and SBTi focuses on targets, EcoVadis evaluates how your policies, actions and results connect to show a consistent approach. Large companies now rely on it to verify the quality of supply chain information.
If you already report to CDP or SBTi, most of what EcoVadis asks for is already in place. It simply needs to be aligned and presented the way EcoVadis scores it.
Watch the short video below as Amanda Wisler, Carbon Consultant at RyeStrategy, explains why companies request EcoVadis and how it fits into the broader sustainability landscape.
